Sandusky Scandal
Jerry Sandusky should be behind bars forever. He got caught and should pay the price. His team counted on him and trusted him to lead them and guide them, but he let them down and abused numerous boys. I do not think the families were in it for the money, there was no way someone could lie about what happened to them in such detail. Jerry Sandusky was caught showering with the boys, which should not have been going on because the coach should not be showering with you, they should be in a separate bathing area. Jerry's wife, Dottie, was completely unaware of what was happening under her own room while her husband and the boys were in the basement. She could have been sleeping or busy or even ignoring the screams that were said to have not been heard by her. Professional athletes and coaches are above the law because people and people of higher levels in the law depend on them to play and people are big on sports, so it gives them an automatic pass when they do something wrong or get in trouble. Most of the time they are let off with a warning or a slap on the wrist and then they are on their way doing the same stuff they were just caught doing. Jerry Sandusky should not be allowed out of prison for the crimes he committed and thank god hes staying there because he is a coach and this time he did not end up with a slap on the wrist he was thrown in prison. If he was really innocent, he would have fought harder to stay out of prison.

Sporty Interviews
Emily Quintanilha loves most sports. She is a senior at Norton High School. Her favorite sport to watch on television is hockey. Her love for the bruins is so intense that she plans on marrying one of the Bruins players one day. She is going to medical school to become a nurse for the Bruins. She has never received any injuries while playing any sports herself though. When she was younger she participated in dance, gymnastics, soccer, and most recently tennis. Soccer is her overall favorite sport to play if it came down to it in the end.
The best sporting moment she was involved in was her last gymnastics meet when she came in first place during eighth grade. Joy and sorrow was going through her head when she was competing in that last meet. She did not want to end her gymnastics career, but she stopped so she could play different sports in high school. The greatest number of points she has scored in a recreational soccer game is four goals. Her opinion on steroids is that they should not be allowed and should be destroyed unless it is for medicinal purposes only.
Lauren MacGray is a senior at Norton High School. She loves watching hockey on television and gets loud and rowdy during the game by cheering on her favorite players and yelling when the refs make bad calls. During her high school soccer career she received a sprained ankle, three broken toes, and she also hurt her knee badly. With the three broken toes, she fought through the pain and continued playing during the game and all the games after that. When she was younger she participated in dance, gymnastics, basketball and soccer. Her favorite sport to play by far is soccer.
The best sporting moment that she was apart of was when her and her soccer team made it to tournament her senior year against Holliston and tied them, getting one point closer to the championship. The greatest number of points scored in a travel soccer game was four goals. When asked what her opinion on steroids was she responded by saying how they give the player an unfair advantage and that they should not be in existence.

Syracuse vs Pittsburgh
This game happened on February 12th, 2014. It was an exciting game because Syracuse came in thinking they were going to destroy Pittsburgh. Syracuse was undefeated before playing them. At the end, Pittsburgh had a 54-48 lead with 2 minutes left in the game. The Syracuse team was getting very nervous with this score. C.J. Fair on the Syracuse team made a 3 pointer, then hit a jumper immediately, making the score 54-53 with 51 seconds left until the final buzzer. Then Tyler Ennis hit two free throws making the score 54-55 with Syracuse in the lead then. Pittsburgh ended up scoring another two points with 10 seconds left putting Pittsburgh in the lead with 56-55. Out of no where with 4.4 seconds left, Tyler Ennis threw the ball at the hoop 35 feet away and got them 3 points with the sound of the buzzer going off as the ball passed through the hoop. Syracuse stayed undefeated all because of Tyler Ennis with a final score of 58-56. Pittsburgh was ranked #25 and Syracuse was ranked #1. This game was exhilarating to watch on television. My father and I were hoping that Pittsburgh wold win. We like when the underdog wins. Now Syracuse has a total of 26-3, so they are no longer undefeated but they are still ranked very high.
